Coaches & Volunteers

The Nazareth Soccer Club thrives thanks to the dedication of our volunteers!

There are many ways to get involved, depending on your interests and availability. While most NSC volunteers serve as coaches or team managers for our Micro and Classic teams, we also rely on individuals who assist with field maintenance, special events, and various Board roles. Every contribution—big or small—helps make our programs successful.

LVYSL Coaches (U10+): 

  • In order to coach a LVYSL Team starting at the U10 level, you need to have your E license prior to the season. Please see the links above for more information on obtaining your license.
  • Prep work includes: Entering teams with the LVYSL league, collecting paperwork for all players and coaches on your teams, and entering information to print out forms to be signed by parents as well as player passes and proof of coach license.
  • Paperwork for all travel teams is due to the NSC Registrar no later than August 1. All packets and information must be complete and accurate by that date in order to play for fall.

Requirements

Our governing body, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer (EPYS), has mandated that all coaches and volunteers must fulfill the following requirements before they are allowed to coach or work with players on the field. Please click the links throughout the information below to learn more about the trainings and clearances.


  1. Each season, you must first register as a coach (head or assistant) or team manager in the “Registration” tab on the website.
  2. Next, complete the following clearances and necessary trainings.


Volunteers who have lived in PA for 10+ years:

  • PA State Police – Access to Criminal History
  • PA Child Abuse History Check
  • FBI Affidavit of Compliance
  • CDC Heads Up Concussion Training
  • SafeSport Training
  • Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Risk Management Form


Volunteers who have NOT lived in PA for 10+ years:

  • PA State Police – Access to Criminal History
  • PA Child Abuse History Check
  • FBI Background Check – Fingerprints
  • CDC Heads Up Concussion Training
  • SafeSport Training
  • Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Risk Management Form


Please Note:

  • The only charge is for FBI Fingerprinting (which the Club will reimburse). Please email a copy of your receipt to: NSC Treasurer treasurer@nazarethsoccer.org
  • Clearances/affidavits should be uploaded to your GotSport account.
