MICRO PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Micro Program is designed for young players to learn and enjoy soccer in a fun, supportive environment. The program emphasizes skill development, creativity, and teamwork through structured practices and games.

Key Program Information
Location: Kim Donald Kromer Park (Essroc Fields)
Coaching: Led by parent-volunteer coaches.
Games: Saturday games vary across the morning/afternoon based on age brackets.
Required Equipment: Size 3 Soccer Ball, Soccer Cleats, Shin Guards, and Water Bottle.
Practice Schedule:
- One weekday practice per week.
- Parents will receive the practice day in the first email from their coach.
Program Seasons:
- U4: Spring only
- U5-U8: Spring and Fall
Age Group Breakdown
U4/U5
9-week program introducing soccer through fun drills and small-sided scrimmages
Practices
- Weekly, 50-minute sessions
- Learning the fundamentals of the game
Games
- Core Concept: Have Fun!
- Weekly, 40-minute games
- (2) 20-minute halves
- 4v4, no goalies
U6/U7/U8
11-week program focusing on fundamental foot skills, ball control, and creativity.
Practices
- Weekly, 60-minute sessions (include warm-ups, technical drills, and small-sided scrimmages)
- Introduce the basics of the sport (goalkeepers, throw-ins, corner kicks)
Games
- Core Concept: Playing with friends
- Weekly, 50-minute games
- (2) 25-minute halves
- Game structure is different across each division, and coaches receive an overview at the beginning of each season
